Edmond Lachenal (French,1855–1948), "Japanesque" stoneware pottery table vase, circa 1895-1900. Art Nouveau vase with twin faux bamboo form handles at top joing neck to body, raised black enamels with bamboo leaf design on body on cream speckled ground, black rim at top of neck. Bottom with black artist signature "LACHENAL" with monogram. Approximate height 12.4", diameter of opening at top 3.25".
Overall good condition. A minor glaze flake to interior rim. Glazing imperfections primarily on rim of mouth. Some burst glaze bubbles and pitting. Small bruise with glaze loss to side. There is an unstable chip with continuing glaze loss with contact approximately .5" x .75". Scattered staining near base. Flake with glaze loss on bamboo. Vase is dirty and would benefit from cleaning.
