- Lot Description
Edgardo Simone (American, 1890–1948), "Nude Woman", bronze with green patina, inscribed at base "Edgardo Simone". Figural bronze sculpture depicting nude female, whose body bends forward, with left leg extended before her and left leg bent supporting her weight, with stylized water at base. Overall approximately 47.5" x 22.25" x 24".
Condition
All known elements present. Overall with green toned patina. Scattered pitting to stylized hair, not distracting and commensurate with age. Left arm with two small repairs to prior fracture, stable and not overwhelmingly distracting; the first spanning approximately 0.75"; the second spanning approximately 0.6". Left leg with slight discoloration to patina spanning approximately 1", not distracting. Base with surface scratch spanning approximately 3.25".
