- Lot Description
English, 19th century. A diminutive Georgian stained mahogany and satinwood inlay sideboard having a bowfront top over a conforming case with single frieze drawer over a wavy skirt and flanked to each side by a cupboard door raised on square tapered legs terminating on spade feet. The front of case and legs decorated with satinwood stringing. Approximate height 38.5", width 53.8", depth 24.6".
Condition
Piece with surface scratches, nicks, dings and abrasions throughout, commensurate with age and use. Hardware and lock replaced. Underside of cupboards with glue applied shims or blocks likely to reinforce base due to shrinkage. Small center drawer with gaps due to wood shrinkage.
