Salvador Dali (Spanish, 1904-1989). "Le Malediction Vaincu (The Curse Conquered)" from "After 50 Years of Surrealism" series - 1974, hand colored etching on Arches paper, from the American edition, epreuve d'artiste edition, Transworld Art blind stamp lower left corner of sheet, pencil inscribed lower left margin "A.E.A.", pencil signed lower right margin. Surrealist print depicting a red high heeled shoe resting atop a sewing machine and set within a vast landscape with perspective lines leading backward toward diagonal horizon line with tiny figures surrounding. Accompanied with the apparently original chemise of watermarked BFK Rives paper and printed "The Curse Overthrown / Once, after I had been cursed by my father...". Framed approximately 37.25" x 31". Sheet size approximately 26" x 19.75". Plate size approximately 15.75" x 12.625". Reference: Field 74-8E (pg.94)
