20th century. A custom made trunk or blanket chest, a modern take on the age-old marriage chest, comprising a wooden frame covered in sand-colored plaster embedded with a variety of seashells, the lid exterior with central purple clam shells forming an anchor motif, flanked on either side by red shell rosettes framing the initial "H" in the left rosette and "T" in the right rosette comprising small round black stones, each corner of the lid decorated with a large shell and smaller shell trim at the edges, the gilt front latch opening to the wooden trunk interior, the lower case exterior decorated with conforming shell pattern with central red shell rosette with central anchor motif comprising black stones, the sides with patinated metal handles.
