- Lot Description
Creil-Montereau (French, 1840-1955), early 20th century. A porcelain foot tub in the style of Sevres, having a cobalt and gilt decorated rim, with a tapering form in lavender, decorated with a floral motif to one side and a courtly pastoral scene to the other, on cobalt blue feet. Spurious Sevres mark to underside, an enameled L, impressed LM&C. Approximate height 9.375", width 22.25", depth 12.5"
Condition
Old repairs to both handles. Interior with scattered crazing and hairlines with some spider webbing. Repairs to two of the scrolled feet. Scattered scuffs with some paint loss.
