- Lot Description
Continental School, first half of 20th century. "Landscape with Stream", oil on canvas laid down on board, illegibly signed lower right. Horizontally-aligned landscape painting depicting a serpentine river or stream flanked by green grassy banks, right side with cluster of tall trees under blue cloudy sky. Framed approximately 13.25" x 18.25". Unframed approximately 8.75" x 13.75".
Condition
Overall in very good condition. Under blacklight examination, in painting in repair of frame rubbing to each edge. Some rigid rippling to canvas due to adhesion to backing wood board - not distracting. No apparent rips, abrasions, or losses.
