- Lot Description
Continental School, early 20th century. "Impressionist Landscape", oil on canvas, indistinguishably signed lower right "??ick". Painting executed in vibrant colors depicting a mountainous landscape viewed from above behind a line of tall trees with a range of purple mountains running along the horizon line in the background, with a body of water of below the ridge line and a lavender sky dotted with pink striated clouds. Framed approximately 26 3/4" x 31 3/4", unframed approximately 22 1/8" x 27 1/8".
Condition
Oxidation visible on back of canvas. Under black light examination, scattered minor retouches including ground in lower right corner. Light scattered craquelure commensurate with age--paint layer stable without signs of lifting. No signs of rips, tears or other damage.
