• Lot Description

  Continental School. Collection of three diminutive or miniature paintings, each oil on thin panel, comprising "Royal Family"-circa 18th century, depicting a figural court scene with three figures in elaborate dress, the two female figures standing to present a newborn baby to a kneeling male figure, signed indistinctly at center right; "Portrait of a King"-circa 18th century, depicting a king draped in elaborate robes, with scepter in hand, signed indistinctly at center right; and "Mother and Child", depicting a fair skinned mother and child embracing, apparently unsigned. "Royal Family" framed approximately 3.625" x 2.925". "Portrait of a King" framed approximately 4" x 3.625". "Mother and Child" framed approximately 4.425" x 3.125".
