- Lot Description
Royal Crown Derby (English, founded 1750), circa 1775-1784. A group of seven plates/serving pieces in the "Old Crown Derby Rose" pattern comprising 2 circular dinner plates (approximate height 1", diameter 9.87"), one circular dinner plate (approximate height .87", diameter 9.87), one circular shallow bowl (approximate height 1.25", diameter 9.75"), two heart shaped serving dishes (approximate height 1.37", width 10", depth 8") and one shell shaped serving dish (approximate height 1.62", width 9.12", depth 9.75). Each with red Royal Crown Derby mark.
Condition
Wear commensurate with age and use. Crazing overall, with staining underneath. Hairline to one. Imperfections to one foot, likely from creation, with firing crack. Losses and scratching to surface, with some losses to gilt and enamel.
