Anita May Kushner-Weiner (American (Pennsylvania), 1935-2011), group of two modern prints on paper comprising of "Mystic Landscape #2"-1966, drypoint etching and aquatint, pencil signed and dated lower right margin, titled in pencil lower center margin, depicting leaves and flowers and melting forms in a dreamy and surreal setting in monochromatic black and grey color scheme, unframed sheet size approximately 19" x 26.25"; and "First Family"-1993, woodcut print on paper, pencil signed and dated lower right, titled in pencil lower center margin, depicting large wolf or wild dog with exposed teeth in profile with bent leg under five repeating abstracted and simplified wolf cubs, unframed sheet size 24" x 18.25".
Note: Kushner-Weiner has exhibited in over 30 solo shows in museums and galleries in the United States, Canada, Europe and Israel, including at the Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art, Museum of Israeli Art, Gallery Two, American Embassy in Ottawa, Canada, Museum of Modern Art in Haifa, Isreal, and the Isreal Museum in Jerusalem, Isreal. Kushner lived in Isreal and was the sole artist whose work was displayed at the home of Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin during the historic signing of the peace treaty between Israel and Egypt in 1979.
