- Lot Description
Yves Saint Laurent -- Saint Laurent Rive Gauche (French, founded 1966), circa 1970s. An elegant black velvet vintage designer full length evening dress or gown with long sleeves, crew neck, and slim a-line skirt, the sleeve seams and neckline adorned with classic black repeating S trim, and the sleeve cuffs with 3.5" long zipper closures, overall with back zip closure, fully lined. European size 42, US size 12. Width across shoulders approximately 15.5", length back collar to hem approximately 57".
Condition
Overall in good vintage condition. Areas of flattened pile to seat area and each elbow, also with one area to front of dress near knee region - likely from legs crossing under a table. Back zipper with short section (approximately 0.75") at bottom where seam has split revealing lining - easily fixable. No apparent holes, tears, splits, or losses.
