Chinese, Ming Dynasty Wanli Period mark (1563-1620), likely 19th century but possibly earlier. A low porcelain bowl having traditional Wucai enamel decoration of cobalt blue underglaze and overglaze hand painted decoration in red, yellow, and green, the bowl with flared rim decorated to central medallion with Imperial five-clawed dragon within double cobalt rings, with exterior decoration on tondo with four figural cartouches of five-clawed dragons alternating with depictions of precious objects and Buddhistic symbols. Marked to underside with cobalt underglaze six character Wanli Imperial reign mark within double cobalt rings. Approximately 4.25" diameter at rim, 2" tall.
Tight hairline fractures & surface scratches, commensurate with age & usage. No other damage or repairs noted.
