- Lot Description
Chinese, likely 20th century. Cylindrical silver filigree storage box with two jade bangles surrounding body with twisted cord motif at top with rounded rings with floral motif with cloisonne enamel work and inset engraved jade stones. Marked on bottom with impressed "SILVER", Overall approximate height 4", diameter 2.75". Provenance: From the Private Collection of Benno & Babette Rothschild, Columbus, Georgia.
Condition
Oxidation to metal throughout. Dirt and grime throughout--would likely benefit from light professional cleaning. No apparent dents, dings or missing elements. Enamel in good condition with a few minor losses and fleabites. Some inset jade medallions with small holes from previous mounting. No signs of cracks or repairs.
