- Lot Description
Chinese, likely 20th century. Hand decorated enamel on porcelain rose medallion export bowl with lotus flower pull on top of domed lid with alternating panels with pink flowers with green scrolled foliates on gilt ground with mythic beasts including phoenix and foo dog on base above bottom of container with similar motif, with floral borders and alternating cartouches with iron red scenes with spotted deer, dragons, and phoenix. Unmarked. Approximate height 5.5", diameter of foot 3.25".
Condition
Chip to one petal on lotus blossom finial. Under black light examination, scattered small repairs to rim bowl below lid including retouches on floral border. Light wear to bottom of foot commensurate with age. No other signs of damage, loss or repair.
