Chinese, 19th century. Chinese export rose medallion porcelain center bowl with fine hand decorated with enamels throughout interior and exterior with C scroll bordered medallions containing scenes with prunus fruit, flowers, birds, butterflies and courtly figures surrounded by green and pink flowers and scrolled vines on gold ground. Unmarked. Porcelain bowl supported on a ebonized wood stain. Bowl (without stand) approximate height 4.5", diameter 10.125". Provenance: From the Private Collection of Ms. Kathleen Morrison, Alpharetta, Georgia.
Enamel is in excellent condition. Scattered glazing imperfections throughout. Light wear to bottom commensurate with age and shelf use. Under black light examination, no further signs of damage, loss or repair.
