Chinese, Early 20th century, possibly earlier. Chinese porcelain stackable food container, lunch box or sweetmeats pot in the famille rose palette, the lid decorated with crane and flowering peony over four containers painted with various insects and flowering foliage and trees. Each container with 2 blue painted handles to each side. Height 7", diameter 5.75".
Chip to lid (see image #10). One container with old repair with staples (see image #11 and image #13 interior dish to the right, same repair). Firing faults present. Minor paint loss to rims commensurate with age and usage.
