Chinese, 20th century. A tall porcelain xuiangtuiping or sleeve vase with band of anhua flowers to shoulder, band of cobalt underglaze hand painted leaf tips to flared rim, and a figural scene set in landscape painted on tondo to the tall body with a courtly female standing beneath a parasol held by a servant as she orates to an onlooker, with various other courtly figures surrounding. Unmarked. Approximate height 18.25", diameter 6.5".
Light wear to bottom commensurate with age. A few glazing imperfections throughout, the largest on shoulder below border on neck, additional imperfections on rocks in lower section. Under black light examination, no signs of hairlines, repairs, damage or further losses.
