Chinese, late 19th/ early 20th century Qing Dynasty (1644-1912). A cylindrical form porcelain brush pot in Famile Rose palette decorated to exterior with hand painted figural scene with two monks or holy men in a landscape, one with rolled scroll in hand, to left of scene six lines of black calligraphic marks and one red seal mark. Unmarked. Approximate height 6.25", diameter 5".
Porcelain allover exhibiting minor pitting and fleabites under the glaze. Painted scene with worn decoration which has become very faint in areas. Rectangular area of red residue above figures, approximately 2" x 1.5". Foot with minor scratches commensurate with age.
