Chinese, likely Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). A porcelain sleeve vase with cobalt blue underglaze decoration on white ground depicting phoenixes flying on tondo to body in a landscape with flowering branches, tall trees, rocky cliffs, and with other flying birds, the tapering shoulder with an hua decorated band of flower garlands, the narrow neck with floral and scroll medallions under a rolled lip. Unmarked. Approximately 14.625" tall, 7" diameter.
Minor surface scratches to exterior of vase--not particularly distracting or noticeable. Light wear to bottom commensurate with age and shelf use. A few scattered glazing imperfections and fleabites. No other signs of damage, loss or repair.
