Chinese, likely 15th century Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). A Longquan celadon glazed pottery figural shrine depicting the Guanyin at center within a recessed niche and two acolytes turned inward on a step below her, their hands in offering of prayer and gifts, the floor between the two figures carved out and revealing stylized waves and floating lotus blossoms, the structure with applied cloud and spiral scrolls to sides and top along with flying phoenix and precious objects. The underside of unfired orange clay and unmarked. Approximately 15.25" tall, 9" wide, 5.75".
A few scattered glazing imperfections throughout. No signs of breaks or cracks except for missing petal on lower right brown flowers. Dirt and grime visible throughout and would benefit from professional cleaning. Light minor craquelure on glaze commensurate with age. Wear to bottom from light handling and shelf use. No other signs of damage, loss or repair.
