Chinese, 20th century. A lobed ovoid form porcelain vase decorated on tondo with hand painted overglaze courtly figural scene set in a landscape with flying birds, Buddhist monks or elders, and riders on horseback, the tall form with overall ju-pi or orange peel texture, incurvate ankle above flared foot, facial mask fixed ring handles at shoulder, and stepped in shoulder below shaped rim. Four character iron red mark to underside. Approximate height 11.75", width 9", depth 6.25".
Scattered glazing imperfections. Light wear to painted elements including handles. Scattered dirt and grime--would likely benefit from light professional cleaning. Under black light examination, no signs of cracks, fractures, losses or repairs. Light wear to foot commensurate with age and shelf use. No other signs of damage, loss or repair.
