- Lot Description
Chinese hand carved ivory snuff bottle along with an ivory carved figure depicting a happy Buddha in a standing position with a peach in each hand above his head. Around his neck is Mandarin beads holding a hulu double gourd to center of his belly. Mounted to circular oval wood base. Height 6.25", diameter 3.25". The snuff bottle late 19th Century carved in high relief, which portray figures in exterior settings amidst dense foliage. Chinese character mark to the bottom.. Height 3.75", width 2.25", depth 1.5".
Condition
Snuff bottle has numerous splits and some soiling; commensurate with age and usage. Happy Buddha has a missing finger tip.
