Chinese, 20th century. A small porcelain plaque in wooden frame with hand painted enamel decoration to the vertical rectangular body depicting a single grasshopper resting on a blade of grass growing from a larger grass formation atop a rock with red, pink, and yellow flowers below it, upper right of porcelain with three lines of black calligraphic marks and one red seal mark. Wooden frame approximately 11.375" x 6.875". Sight size of porcelain approximately 9.375" x 4.75".
Frame with scattered losses throughout. Separation to moulding at top corners. Plaque not examined outside of frame. Enamels in excellent condition. Under black light examination, no signs of cracks, chips, fractures, or damage to plaque from within frame.
