Chinese, 20th century, possibly earlier. Chinese export famille rose rectangular porcelain wall plaque hand decorated with enamels with two black feathered birds perched on branch amid chrysanthemums and other flowers in peach, pink and lavender purple on white ground, blue meandering key border. Plaque contained within a hardwood frame with Oriental metal hooks at top. Overall approximately 15" x 20.5". Sight size of plaque 9.8" x 15.2". Provenance: From the Estate of Sam & Florence Inman, Atlanta, Georgia.
Visible grime and dirt around edges of plaque where meets frame--likely would benefit from cleaning. Well painted scene with light wear to hand painted enamels. A few minor surface scratches, predominately in upper left corner. Residue from tape on two parts of plaque and right of frame. No other signs of damage, loss or repair.
