- Lot Description
Chinese, 19th century. Unusual Chinese export hand painted porcelain tray mounted with bronze, the rectangular porcelain painted in Autumnal tones of orange, brown, red, and purple with medallion at center surrounded by green vines set within a square cartouche with floral clusters at corners and altogether within a band of floral cartouches with thick bands at two narrow sides bearing bats and leafy vines, the porcelain underside in brown faux bois texture, the whole encased in footed bronze stand with pierced floral and scroll gallery. Unmarked. Approximate height 2.875", width 19.75", depth 15". Provenance: From the Estate of Channing S. Jun, M.D., Eastman, Georgia.
Condition
Good overall vintage condition consistent with age and use. One minor repair to surface, with fleabite. Otherwise no visible signs of loss or repair.
