Chinese, Ming Dynasty Xuande Period Mark, likely late 19th/ early 20th century. A white porcelain vase with hand painted Doucai decoration in cobalt, rust, green, and yellow, the vase with narrow round foot surmounted by bulbous body, narrow neck, and flared rim, with four Longma, mythical winged horses with dragon scales, galloping on tondo to body amid blooming chrysanthemum flowers and trees, with flowering vines to foot and shoulder and a band of leaf tips to neck, the flared rim with geometric patterning. Blue underglaze Xuande imperial reign mark to shoulder. Approximately 10" tall, 8.75" diameter.
Overall very good condition. Very minor areas of color loss to the cobalt bands. No repairs or damage noted.
