Chinese, likely 20th century. A carved lidded censer--likely sodalite, the deep blue stone with heavy white veining, of round form raised on three paw feet with figural masks at each knee, opposing reticulated dragon mask handles to shoulder, and round lid with figural dragon finial over three drop ring handles with leaf decoration. Approximate height 4.625", width (across handles) 4.75".
Scattered losses and repairs to censer throughout including chip to ear of dragon on top, visible repair to rim. Lower section with repair to foot, loss to top of scrolled accent at end of dragon's head, loss on bottom of handle, small hairline fracture in interior (however stable). Light surface scratches throughout from handling. No other signs of overt damage, loss or repair.
