Chinese, 20th century. A light brown Yixing Zisha pottery teapot of tapered cylindrical form with two upturned rectangular spouts to opposite sides, which could both also function as handles, adorned to lower side with a demilune tube with movable ring detail, decorated to round body with a single horizontal bamboo pole motif, and to top surface with varying linear patterned square fields, the round lid with conical finial flanked to one side by applied lizard or mythological beast. Marked to underside with impressed calligraphic marks within a square cartouche. Approximately 4.5" tall, 7.375" spout to spout.
