- Lot Description
Chinese, 19th/20th century. A lacquered cabinet in black with polychromed gold detailing, having a rectangular form with folding cabinet doors, each with pierced fretwork panels lacquered in brown, on a kang style base. Apparently unmarked, red wax seal remnant on interior of right pierced door. Approximate height 41.5", width 46.25", depth 20.375".
Condition
Wear commensurate with age and use. Scratches and chips to lacquer and top. Some expected wear overall. One hinge needs to be hammered back into place. Some seam separation. Structurally sound overall. Export seal to interior. Some dust overall. No other visible signs of damage or repair.
