- Lot Description
Chinese, 19th century. Ancestral portrait painting depicting a male figure seated in throne within interior being attended to by two children, one lighting long black opium pipe, the other with round tray with tea or wine, background with antique vases and urns on tall Chinese table running length of scroll horizontally in front of floor screen. Scroll painting on canvas and transferred onto paper scroll with white and pale blue silk borders. Image measures approximately 42" x 22.9". Overall measures approximately 78.5" x 29.25".
