Weathered carved stone figural architectural fragment depicting a gargoyle face with pointed ears, wide circular recessed eyes, nose with flared nostrils and open mouth. Unsigned. Overall approximate height 4.4", width 10.4", depth 8.25". Provenance: From the Estate of Dr. Woody and Mrs. Honor Cobbs, Atlanta, Georgia.
Item weighs approximately 15 pounds. Fragment with rough edges and oxidation throughout from exposure to the outdoor elements. Face stable. Some scattered moss growth on stone. Stone with no signs of repair.
