Bradley and Hubbard Manufacturing Company (American (Connecticut), 1852-1940), fourth quarter of the 19th century. A kerosene converted piano or organ parlor floor lamp having a yellow and floral painted milk glass ball form shade resting on the fitter with a inline rotary off-on switch above the ornate foliate pierced and gadrooned orb with font (converted to electric and wired through the orb), the stem with scrolling twist decoration and lower ornate pierced orb mounted with four scrolled rods united by the pierced floral scrolled square platform base and terminating on four foliate scrolled claw and ball feet. Font is marked B & H, the wick adjuster marked “Pat Applied For’. Approximate height with shade 65.8”, without shade 55.6”, depth 18”
Even oxidation throughout. The shade appears to be original, with no repairs noted. Paint surface on shade is stable. Some wear to base of shade commensurate with age and use. One bolt and its decorative encasement replaced.
