Boehm. Northern Water Thrush (490) and Oven Bird (400-04). A group of two bisque porcelain birds comprising of Northern Water Thrush with the single bird walking through a landscape beside ferns, small red flowers, and bright orange mushrooms with an arching branch behind; and Oven Bird with the single bird perched upon a leaf covered ground with tall ferns behind and white pendant flowers at left. Northern Thrush approximately 10.75" tall, 8.25" wide, 5.75" deep. Oven Bird approximately 9.75" tall, 7.25" wide, 6.25" deep. Each piece signed to base "Boehm" and marked to underside with [maker's mark and title of piece. Provenance: From the Estate of Sam & Florence Inman, Atlanta, Georgia.
Northern Water Thrush in excellent condition with no chips, nicks or cracks, no signs of crazing or missing elements, no signs of damage, loss or restoration. Oven bird: very good condition, two small hairline fractures on backs of fern leaves (one at top, the other near bottom), both areas structurally sound, no other areas with damage, loss or repair. Neither accompanied with original box nor packaging.
