- Lot Description
Bert Stern (American, 1929-2013), "'Marilyn Monroe, Biting Necklace" -1962, chromogene print, signed lower right, numbered lower left "110/250". Print depicting iconic image of the actress, model and sex symbol Marilyn Monroe (American, born Norma Jeane Mortenson, 1926-1962). Image from Stern's shoot with Monroe in the famous "Last Sitting" in July of 1962 at the Bel Air Hotel in Los Angeles, California. Framed approximately 33.5" x 32.5". Sight size approximately 20.75" x 19.75".
Condition
Work not accompanied with COA. Photographic print connected at top to foam board with hinging tape. Signs of light handling at corners and edges, not particularly glaring or severe. Small dimple mark at left of center in Monroe's hair. Minor light surface scratching from light use--not visible distracting. No other signs of damage, loss or repair.
