Bernard Buffet (French, 1928-1999). "Torero" from "Album Toreros" - 1966, lithograph in colors on Arches paper, limited edition 47/150, pencil numbered lower left margin, pencil signed lower right margin. Graphic print depicting a matador or toreador from the back wearing his traje de luces of vibrant yellow pants and shirt with pink cape and red tights, the figure standing in full length on a clay ground with gray/blue background. Framed approximately 39.25" x 30.5". Sheet size approximately 29.5" x 21.25". Reference: Sorlier 100.
Examined out of the frame. Sheet with two deckled edges, not laid down and affixed to front mat board with two pieces of hinging tape along top edge and with masking tape to each corner, top, left, and right edges. Verso of sheet with acid transfer from another Buffet print. Overall with light toning more intense to vertical deckled edge. Verso with abraded area along top edge likely from tape removal - not visible to recto of sheet. No apparent tears, pinholes, or losses.
