- Lot Description
Manner of Mies van der Rohe (German/American, 1886-1960). Chrome, walnut, and leather "Barcelona" couch or daybed with rectangular tufted black leather seat (missing one bolster) supported by a walnut frame with leather webbing and raised on tubular chrome legs. Made in Italy upholstery tag to the underside. Approximate height 16", width 75.5", depth 37.5", seat height 16".
Condition
Structurally sound and in overall good condition. There is only one bolster pillow and it appears to be original. Bolster pillow shows scuffing and wear to leather with small hole. Leather upholstery shows no rips or tears. There are minor scattered white flecks, possibly paint. The walnut frame has a scratch and showing white residue; possibly from rubbing a wall. All wear is commensurate with age and usage.
