- Lot Description
Axel Salto (Danish, 1889-1961) for Royal Copenhagen (Danish, founded 1775), circa 1957. Openwork porcelain bud vase of cylindrical form with pierced body and entwined branches, overall in celadon green glaze. Underside marked with "21472" for pattern in blue above "DENMARK: and three undulating lines for Royal Copenhagen above incised "SALTO" under glaze. Overall approximate height 2.9", diameter 2.25".
Condition
Overall excellent condition. Minor scuff to glaze on exterior, approximately 0.25”. Underside with wear commensurate with shelf use. No apparent repairs, losses or fractures.
