Louis Comfort Tiffany (American, 1848-1933), circa 1900. Assorted group of 11 art glass tiles, comprising four – 3” glass square tiles, two – 4” square tiles, three 4” x 1.5” rectangular tiles and two turtle back opalescent tiles. The 3” square tiles include a blue tile with molded leaf design opalescent, a brown, and a marbled amber; all marked in raised molded letters "PAT. FEB 8TH 1881" in one edge and "L.C.T. & CO". in the opposite edge. The 4" glass square tiles include a geometric forest green tile, apparently unmarked and the other an agate type with stylized swirling motif, marked "PAT. APPL'D FOR" in one edge. The three rectangular tiles are all decorated in a raised guilloche type pattern in orange, favrile green and a white satin, all apparently unmarked. The two iridescent opalescent turtle back tiles measure approximately 4” x 4” and 3” x 3”, apparently unmarked.
