An Art Nouveau mahogany etagere decorated with light and darkwood marquetry inlay, carving, and pierced openwork, the backboard surmounted by a central carved shell with trailing acanthus leaves over two molded cyma curves forming a point at center with conforming molded frieze with a marquetry flower garland, over a large kidney shaped mirror flanked by two molded panels with marquetry inlaid cornucopias and scrolled vines, framed by tulipwood banding over two small display shelves with scalloped and molded edges surmounting small onion shaped mirrors the backboard sides decorated with relief carved acanthus scrolls, the large central display cabinet comprising a molded cornice, acanthus carved corbels and rectangular glass door with giltwood oval decorated with scroll and acanthus leaf motifs with brass escutcheon and pull at left of door, opening to an interior upholstered in rose velvet with two brackets for the placement of shelves, over a conforming drawer with marquetry inlaid ornamentation comprising a central urn flanked by classical grotesqueries and trailing leafy acanthus leaves, with two round brass escutcheons with ring pulls and a scalloped apron with central carved shell flanked by trailing acanthus leaves, the cabinet flanked by two display shelves each with inlaid crossbanding, c-scrolled cutouts flanking a central relief-carved scroll, with acanthus carved corbels, mirrored backs, and front stiles with light and darkwood banding joined by front pierced fretwork galleries, surmounting a lower display shelf with scalloped edge, all raised on four cabriole legs.
