After Pierre le Faguays (French, 1892-1956), "Lysis"-circa 1925, patinated bronze sculpture, incised on base "Fayral". Art Deco figural sculpture after the artist's work, portraying a young female dancer with short hair looking down with arms raised, wrists with long stylized drapes joining to scaled skirt. Graceful dancing figure standing barefoot on a rectangular base surmounting a green marble plinth. Overall approximate height 14.25", width 10.75", depth 4.125".
Sculpture appears to be a later reproduction after the 1925 work, likely from the second half of 20th century. Under black light examination, no signs of significant repairs or damage. Small hairline fracture visible without black light on back of draped cloth (structurally stable). Scattered minor pitting to metal throughout, not particularly distracting. Front left drape with dark near circular spot, later discoloration. Light wear to patina throughout commensurate with age and light handling. No signs of dents, dings, or further loss or repair.
