Curt Schlevogt (1904-1984), circa 1934. Art Deco vase from the 'Ingrid' series, produced in shades of blue glass imitating Lapis Lazuli stone. The vase molded in relief with female figures at each corner of the rounded body separated with vertical grooves on wide horizontal bands similar to the skyscraper motif seen on many Art Deco period works. Produced for Leipzig Exhibition in 1934 and designed by Professor Arthur Plewa. Apparently unmarked. Approximately 9.5" tall, 6.5" diameter. Provenance: From the Estate of Mary L. Haugk, Lawrenceville, Georgia.
Minute flake to one of the reeded panels at the top of the vase. Flea bite on one of the figure's skirts. Neither obvious - observed with loop.
