Continental (possibly Czech), first half 20th century. An Art Deco cut glass seven-piece decanter set comprising lidded decanter with cut black glass lid of heptagonal tapered form with dual ovoidal or teardrop incisions, with beveled edge, neck with applied 800 silver stamped "800" with additional indistinct hallmark "A", clear glass body with ovoidal or teardrop incisions forming overall effect of wave-like patterning to glass, with black glass base of octagonal form; and six small glasses each with clear glass bodies with ovoidal or teardrop incisions forming overall effect of wave-like patterning to glass, with black glass bases of hexagonal form. Decanter with lid approximate height 9.5", diameter of base 2.5". Glasses approximate height 2.5", diameter of base 1".
Decanter with scattered tarnishing to silver rim, with minor scattered surface scratches to interior and exterior of clear glass, black glass base with wear to underside (commensurate with surface contact), black stopper with extremely minor fleabites commensurate with contact with bottle (not distracting). All glasses with minor scattered chips to clear glass bodies (stable and not distracting), black glass bases with wear to underside (commensurate with surface contact). One glass with minor loss to black base underside (stable).
