French, 20th century. Art Deco patinated and cast white metal figural group depicting a man in fur pelt with a spear with foot raised preparing to attack a bear, young woman wearing fur pelt and gold jewelry grasping his body. Figures raised on a stepped onyx stone base. Front right corner of sculpture signed "URIANO". Overall approximate height 18.5", width 29.25", depth 5.75".
Overall good condition. There is a section of onyx missing from the front right panel. There is loss of bronze patina/finish to the male's right arm at bicep and at wrist. Female figure is not tightly mounted. Minute flea bites with some scattered chips to the edges of stone base. Minor scuffing to the stone surface.
