A Chinese bronze archaic style Ding comprising a globular cup form raised on three tall, straight legs, each leg decorated to knee with cast patterning in relief above a slightly everted ring foot, the body with a band of archaic patterning cast in relief below flat saucer mouth with two vertical ear loop form handles opposing to upper rim, the vessel allover with verdigris oxidation. Unmarked. Approximate height 11.625", diameter 10.25".
Piece overall with heavy oxidation to interior and exterior, also with minor surface scratches. Under black light examination, no apparent losses or repairs.
