Anita May Kushner-Weiner (American (Pennsylvania), 1935-2011), six works from "Cloudscape 3" series, serigraph (silkscreen) on Fabriano paper, each pencil signed lower right margin, titled in pencil lower center margin, and limited edition numbered in pencil lower right margin (some in Roman numerals, others in Arabic numbers), impressed "H" in lower left corner for printer or publisher. Some works with Fabriano watermarks. Three works depicting matching calming cloud view in metallic silver or grey, purple and green, companion works with matching imagery and additional printed text and sketchwork of clouds and setting sun on horizon below--text in handwritten style reads "For me, the subject of clouds --is both topical and autobiographical--It release me to work with problems of shape and color....Underlying all is an aeshetic of space and an interconnecting eroticism". All unframed, sheet size approximately 19.9" x 13.8".
Note: Kushner-Weiner has exhibited in over 30 solo shows in museums and galleries in the United States, Canada, Europe and Israel, including at the Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art, Museum of Israeli Art, Gallery Two, American Embassy in Ottawa, Canada, Museum of Modern Art in Haifa, Isreal, and the Isreal Museum in Jerusalem, Isreal. Kushner lived in Isreal and was the sole artist whose work was displayed at the home of Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin during the historic signing of the peace treaty between Israel and Egypt in 1979.
