- Lot Description
American, late 19th/early 20th century. A Rococo Revival style rosewood breakfront cabinet, having a carved and scrolling pediment over a plain cornice, over three cabinets, each with an cabinet door with an inset glazed oval window, with decorative scrolling stiles, over three lower cabinet doors, each with oval panels, on a plinth base. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 108", width 85.75", depth 23.75".
Condition
Wear commensurate with age and use. Some cracking to veneer overall, with areas of lifting. Some cracking to doors and boards, possibly from shrinkage. Seam separation overall. Nicks, dings, scratches, abrasions, and losses to wood and veneer throughout. Right glass pane is replaced - other two are old glass. Shrinkage to shelves. Structurally sound. Locks in working order.
