American, 19th century. Figural bust engraving depicting the U.S. Representative and Senator for Mississippi, United States Secretary of War, and President of the Confederate States of American, Jefferson Davis (American, 1808-1889). Black ink signature or autograph at lower center. Overall framed approximately 7.9" x 5.9".
Condition
Sheet not laid down or tacked. Sheet overall with toning to recto and verso, with darker bands to left and right edges. Minor water staining to lower edge of paper below signature. Paper rippling for general handling.
