American, late 19th century. An American Aesthetic Movement gilt bronze mounted cranberry cut-to-clear glass vanity set, the form depicting a peaked roof structure with four reticulated walls formed with faux bois scrolling and crossing bars, the form raised on four splayed legs with ball feet and hinging open near center to allow access to two perfume or dresser bottles each with applied gilt bronze scrolling details to body and stopper, the structure mounted at front with half ovoid dish. Approximate height 8", width 7", depth 5". Provenance: From the Estate of Mary L. Haugk, Lawrenceville, Georgia.
Overall very good condition. Gilt bronze shows oxidation. Glass jars are glued down and not removable from their stands. Cranberry oval dish also not removable. One stopper numbered 1, the other numbered 2. Possibly Bohemian.
