- Lot Description
Alexander Ney (Russian Federation, b. 1939). "Untitled"-1986, modeled and painted white metal composite on stone base, signed on sculpture "Ney (c) 86". Anthropomorphic sculpture composed of many bulbous protrusions from a central line formed in the round and being widest at the vertical center, the protrusions with incised geometric patterning with the individual shapes painted in vibrant shades of green, blue, orange, purple, and red, the sculpture to a tall green jade colored cast stone cylindrical base. Overall approximate height 27.25", width 8.25", depth 6.25". Provenance: From the Private Collection of Ann Jacob of Highlands, North Carolina.
Condition
Scattered losses, minor pitting and abrasions to painted surface. Base with scattered abrasions and surface scratches. Base with circular mark under sculpture indicative of contact with sculpture.
